The Point at Which the Laws of Physics Break Down
Wing walkers at an airshow
reach up their arms
You reach for my hand
I identify with the sky
They disappear into clouds
You who have made no study
of the atmosphere
claim the far away in me
is farther now
The planes dive
Bodies are inverted in mid-air
I cannot explain why I am
a hopeful person
And then there is the question
of our hands
