Guilt Eater

My mother’s God, her mother’s, her mother’s mother’s — he feeds us his guilt. And we eat it. Like a dog eats a foul thing twice. And do it again and again. I turn you to face me, take all of your sleeping breath in. I’m from a line of guilt eaters — I’m learning to keep it down.
