instructions for removing an IUD
— for how long have you had pain & bleeding between periods?
my blood keeps me on a tight leash whips
my days into a routine of not knowing I keep
a pad ready to brandish at all times riotous
uterus spliced by a foreign tool & a tampon
bloated in a sea of sharp red sapphires
— have you had any new sexual partners in the last year?
my pelvis has not been infused with stranger
ills than loneliness or a cold plastic hand
clamped inside it shame is not the remedy
if that’s what you need to know
— did you use a condom every time, or only because you were coming to see a doctor?
you’ll frisk every inch of me for a neck
to hang your judgments on but you won’t
ask me what my pronouns are
— is your partner a man or a woman?
I crush on everyone & we fuck how
we do we owe you no education
— when was the last time you had unprotected sex?
despite you we want each other safe
