Dominick Knowles [they/them] is a nonbinary poet, union steward, and Ph.D. candidate, as well as the poetry editor of Protean Magazine. Their dissertation focuses on Cold War U.S. poetry and imperialism in Latin America. They have published essays in Viewpoint Magazine and Modernism/modernity Print+, with an article on Marx's Grundrisse forthcoming from Bloomsbury Press. Their poems have appeared in various anti-presses such as Paintbucket, marlskarx, and the Living Journal.

do you know if the flakes of almond still kiss pearl-white gourami mouths, mouse faces without their ears or if the pigeon still flies thru lemonrind sky, singing: “once i held all the keys” or if the hurricanes still fling tamarind, corn silk, caraway, stale oats tasting of roasted meat (you nourish my skin, our cholest- erol cloak) but baby do you see the dying purple pea will you list its limbs and ligaments before the tender sidewalk gurgles snow
