We stretch arms wide to vein the sky
Inhale — chin back chest pump,
Exhale — face to knees — repeat
I spread my hollowed arms, traffic an earth
Quake beneath you We’re easing
Inhale —
I arc my hollow back — light
With trust and
Love ancient love predates
Grass rocks, exhale — you shoot
Your willow needled throat
Pour my glitter like you mined it
From my lungs, inhale — I
Crumple face on knees to pray
You read smoke my veins
A spider shadow in the off
Beat you’ve had numbed, exhale, cheer —
Your needle galaxies cackle
Out between my ribs — that cage
Of celebration shot to knees, inhale,
All the children puffs
Of smoke rolled off
The streets We bow, exhale
You shoot and shoot
And shoot us every Time
