Newly Appointed Strangers
The Hindi word “Bol” translates to “Say” in the English language, so “Bol Allahu Akbar” translates to “Say Allah Is The Greatest” and “Bol Jai Shri Ram” translates to “Say Victory to Lord Rama”.
This is a poem about two new age lovers from two different ethnic/religious backgrounds breaking up because of current political environment of a divided India where two men were lynched by Cow Vigilantes on first day post Modi’s re-election as Prime Minister of Democratic Republic of India.
